West End Players Guild continues its 100th season of theatre in the Central West End with an evening of one-act plays titled A WOMAN'S PLACE. An ensemble cast will appear in the four short plays presenting women in extraordinary circumstances. A WOMAN'S PLACE opens on Friday, November 5, and continues through Sunday, November 14. Shows are at 8:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays, with all performances at the Union Avenue Christian Church, 733 Union Avenue.

Playwright John Patrick Shanley explores the 'feminization' of the male of the species with his work PSYCHOPATHIA SEXUALIS (google Krafft-Ebbing for a more detailed explanation of the historical and ground-breaking, but essentially flawed, text that the title is copped from, but bears no resemblance toward), focusing on a pair of men who wouldn't seem out of place in some Larry David scenario, acting much like the fully grown, but emotionally immature males who dominate his output.
Last of the Boys, by Steven Dietz, directed by Susan Arnold, will be presented by Beowulf Alley Theatre, 11 S. 6th Avenue, 85701, downtown between Broadway and Congress. Last of the Boys, a 2006 Pulitzer Prize nominee, is presented in recognition of and to honor our American military families for their shared sacrifice.
