Delaware Theatre Company’s Artistic and Executive Director Bud Martin has announced his plan to retire in 2023. To facilitate the transition, DTC’s board of directors has appointed current Managing Director Matt Silva, who has been with DTC for the past four seasons, to the Executive Director role, effective August 16, 2022.

The joys of watching live theatre include seeing the sweat pouring down performer’s faces, from an acceptably social distance, and knowing that it’s a combination of the powerful stage lights and the inexplicable desire to include live flames in a show about four boys who died in a car crash... Before I knew it, our time with The Plaids was over.

Opening their 2022 Main Stage Season, Theatre Raleigh presents the musical review, Forever Plaid.

Theatre Mash-Up with Angie Harrell is scheduled for July 11–15 from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. Leading the Show: A Character Study Camp with Kayla Matters is scheduled for July 25–29 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. Creative Theater Miracles with Stuart Ross is scheduled for August 8–12 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. Creating Your Own Work with Cecelia Ticktin is scheduled to take place twice, from August 8–12 and August 22–26 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. All camps are $450 for five days. $600 after July 1.

Delaware Theatre Company announces its 2022/23 Season. DTC will be returning for a full, five-show season—its 43rd—on September 14, with live performances inside the theatre, including world premiere Broadway-bound musicals, farcical satires and searing dramas.
