CANTON, OHIO (May 5, 2015) – Canton Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is pleased to offer four summer music camps. The first three camps are for aspiring student musicians, and the fourth is a special opportunity open to all individuals and families in the Greater Canton area. These week-long camps will be run by Rachel Waddell, Assistant Conductor of the Canton Symphony Orchestra, the CSO Education Staff and will feature sectionals with CSO musicians. The third week is run in partnership with Malone University.

To celebrate the theatrical release of highly anticipated animated feature 'MAYA THE BEE MOVIE,' Shout! Factory Kids and Children's Hospital Los Angeles have teamed up to present a benefit premiere screening of this fun-filled family movie today, May 2, 2015 at Laemmle's Music Hall Theater in Beverly Hills. Shout! Factory Kids will donate all ticket proceeds from this benefit screening to Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Studio 100 Media, the film's production company, and Shout! Factory have offered to match the funds raised at this screening as additional donation to Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Michael McElroy (TONY nomination, BIG RIVER) and The Broadway Inspirational Voices and Salem Missionary Baptist Church are teaming up for a Spring Concert Sunday May 31st 7:30pm. The concert will raise funds for the T.J. Boyd Scholarship Foundation. Salem is the home church of Tony award winner and BIV veteran Adriane Lennox (DOUBT, After Midnight). The concert is titled "Miracles" and in true BIV fashion, aims to lift and inspire though song using an array of gospel music.

This past weekend, Sting brought the THE LAST SHIP home to Tyneside, where the musical is set, performing its score, concert-style, at the town's premiere music venue, Sage Gateshead, for three sold-out shows. He was joined onstage by original Broadway cast member Jimmy Nail, as well as singers Jo Lawry, Charlie Richmond, the Wilson Brothers, and Rachel and Becky Unthank. Scroll down for photos!

Last Friday, music legend-turned Broadway composer Sting joined 700 primary students from Newcastle ahead of his weekend benefit concerts, where he 'brought the Ship home' at the Sage Gateshead. The students, aged 7 - 12, learned a few of the songs from The Last Ship and performed them as a sing-along with Sting and his band.

What They Did For Love: The Songs of Marvin Hamlisch and Burt Bacharach continues at the Quality Hill Playhouse, 303 W. 10th, through May 17. J. Kent Barnhart, Producing Artistic Director of the Playhouse, accompanies Melinda MacDonald, Tim Noland, and LeShea Wright, on piano and vocally. Barnhart emcees the production displaying his wit and sense of humor as he reveals often little known history about the songs and their creators.
