Grammy Award winning trumpeter Chris Botti brings his superb musicianship, his killer band and his on-stage generosity back to The Ridgefield Playhouse stage for one night of can't-miss musical thrills on Today, October 18 at 8 p.m. as part of the Moffly Media Evening of Art, Wine and Jazz Series.

Twelve years after the release of their first album, GREAT JOY -  A GOSPEL CHRISTMAS, Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV) have announced the release of their second studio album, GREAT JOY II AROUND THE WORLD.

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts:

Portuguese fado singer Mariza, flamenco/jazz singer Diego El Cigala and flamenco guitarist Tomatito headline a unique series of shows at The Town Hall this October.

Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, presents Chris Botti in a six-night engagement January 17 - 22, 2017. Tickets for the shows go on sale on October 12 at 10:00 a.m.

With a show that is a perfect fit for holiday season and the winter ahead, Cabaret's hottest series, New York Cabaret's Greatest Hits (Producer, Stephen Hanks; Associate Producer Fr. Jeffrey Hamblin, MD), will feature Nightclub Singer/Entrepreneur Ellen Kaye with a reprise of her hit 2010 show, Ice Wine: Songs For Christmas and Dark Winter Nights, at the Metropolitan Room on Tuesday, December 13 at 7 pm. Kaye's show will be the 16th presentation in the series, which launched in August, 2015. The Metropolitan Room is at 34 West 22nd Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues). Tickets for Ice Wine are $25 ($20 for MAC Members) with a two-drink minimum.

For its third monthly production, Dorothy's Piano Bar and Cabaret presents two fabulous performers who have known each other well over 20 years, having worked together at Village Theatre in Issaquah and in various clubs in the Pacific Northwest.

Drama Desk winning and Tony/Grammy Award nominated composer Stanley Silverman is to attend the UK premiere of Hotel For Criminals co-written with pre-eminent avant garde theatre maker Richard Foreman. 

Every Friday evening at 8PM, THE ORIGINAL CAST, a team of professionally trained actor-improvisers, will create an entirely new hour long drama in the style of a famed playwright. For the month of October, they present an original improvised play in the style of American playwright Arthur Miller. The North Carolina Black Repertory Company (NCBRC) kicks off its 37  with The Sting of White Roses, written by Angelica Cheri, and directed by NCBRC Artistic Director Jackie Alexander.

Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV) PRESENTS "On My Way" featuring  special guest star Tony Award nominated Joshua Henry and an appearance by Tony Award winning composer Jeanine Tesori and lyricist Brian Crawley.

Carnegie Hall presents Orchestra of St. Luke's in three concerts this season in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, beginning on Thursday, October 13 at 8:00 p.m. The series kicks off with the orchestra's long-time friend and collaborator David Robertson leading a program that includes Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92; and selections from Mahler's Des Knaben Wunderhorn featuring celebrated baritone Thomas Hampson. Also on the program is Brett Dean's Testament, a moving tribute to Beethoven's life and music inspired by his 1802 "Heiligenstadt Testament," the autobiographical manifesto in which the composer came to terms with the loss of his hearing early in his career.

Tony Award winners Leslie Odom, Jr. (Hamilton) and Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple), and Grammy Award-nominated singer and songwriter Kenny Lattimore will bring their powerful voices and dynamic stage presence to NJPAC's 21st Annual Spotlight Gala of the Women's Association of NJPAC today, October 1.

October promises to be one of the biggest yet at Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists. The month kicks off with architects of the Jamaican sound, Sly & Robbie and the Taxi Gang and the first time Hoku Award-winners Amy Hanaiali'i and Willie K will perform together in the showroom.
