Susan Hilferty, costume designer for the Broadway musicals Spring Awakening and Wicked, among many other theatrical productions, will discuss her career at the Bruno Walter Auditorium in The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza, on Monday, January 12, at 6 p.m. Hilferty's appearance, presented in conjunction with the League of Professional Theatre Women, is free to the public on a first come, first served basis, and kicks off a series of programs and panel discussions held in connection with the exhibition, Curtain Call: Celebrating a Century of Women Designing for Live Performance, currently on view until May 2, 2009.

Media City Ballet, Natasha Middleton, Artistic Director, will present 'An Evening of Khachaturian: The Composer and His Ballets,' featuring Principal Dancers, Arsen Serobian, Gabrielle Palmatier, Amara Baptist, Edgar Nikolyan, Felicia Guzman, Ellen Rosa and Stephen Nelson, along with Soloists and Corps Dancers from Media City Ballet. Jenkyns Pelaez will appear as a Guest Artist.

The Open Book in association with the New York Innovative Theatre Awards is pleased to announce the nomination of two of its performers, Keir Dullea and Warren Kelly, as nominees for Outstanding Actors in a Leading Role in its production of Strings.

Keir Dullea, perhaps best known for his work in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, will star in Carol Bugge's new play Strings, wihch will begin previews on December 13th, open on December 16th and run through January 6th at the 78th Street Theatre Lab
