Marin Theatre Company presents the Bay Area Children's Theatre World Premiere of 'Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy, the Musical' as part of MTC's Theater Series for Young Audiences. The show features Book, Music and Lyrics by Scott Elmegreen. Adapted from the books by David Soman and Jacky Davis. Directed Benjamin Hanna, the production will run today, May 24 - June 8, 2014.

Based on the hit children's book series by Annie Barrows, IVY & BEAN: THE MUSICAL starts at the beginning of the pair's friendship. Founded in 2004 as Active Arts Theatre for Young Audiences, ?Bay Area Children's Theatre encourages children to explore literature, language and the arts by producing stage adaptations of children's books in Berkeley and San Ramon, as well as on tour to Bay Area schools and libraries. BACT's productions feature professional adult performers working with artistic teams who understand how to make theater compelling and accessible for young audiences. The company also creates new work and mounts productions specially designed for preschool age children. BACT's active and growing Youth Education Program complements their theatrical offerings by giving children and teens performance opportunities in theater arts through classes, workshops and summer camps.

Zelda at the Oasis, a new play by P. H. Lin, directed by Andy Sandberg (The Last Smoker in America), will celebrate its New York Premiere on Friday, November 16th when it begins previews at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, in the heart of Times Square. The official opening is Tuesday, December 4th at 7 PM. Zelda at the Oasis, which features Edwin Cahill and Gardner Reed, is an open-ended engagement.
