PURE Theatre in a Co-production with Nomad Theatre of NYC is proud to announce the World Premier of The Fool's Lear by Randy Neale.

Know Theatre of Cincinnati is pleased to (finally) announce its third production in the season. Aliens with Extraordinary Skills by Saviana Stanescu will open January 29 and play through February 26, 2011 and will be directed by Know Theatre's producing artistic director, Eric Vosmeier.

Samuel French Inc will celebrate the release of the OFF OFF BROADWAY FESTIVAL PLAYS, 35TH SERIES, Thursday, February 10th at The Drama Book Shop (250 West 40th Street) at 6pm. This new publication consists of the six winning plays from the acclaimed 2010 Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival. All winning playwrights will be present for the launch celebration, which will include readings from each play with a book signing and reception to follow. The much-anticipated short-form theatre festival comes to San Francisco in partnership with new play development center Playwrights Foundation! Curated by Dominic D'Andrea, the program will present over 80 plays all under sixty seconds by some of the most exciting emerging and established writers in the American Theatre

Long before New York had a fringe festival, New York had the Ensemble Studio Theatre's OCTOBERFEST, a marathon of new, developing plays crammed together on two floors of the theatre company's home at 549 West 52nd Street. The first OCTOBERFEST was in 1981.

Burning Coal will present a staged reading of Chris Cragin's new play, THE RIVER NUN, directed by Tea Alagic, on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 7 pm.
