Based on the award-winning book, Mockingbird provides a look at how a parent and his daughter with Asperger's syndrome cope with a tragic loss due to a school shooting.

The musical O Som e a Silaba (The Sound and the Syllable) opens at Teatro Porto Seguro on October 6 and runs until November 26, with sessions from Friday to Sunday. With text and direction by Miguel Falabella, the musical was conceived especially for Alessandra Maestrini and Mirna Rubim, two actress singers with lyrical record. The show tells the story of Sarah Leighton (Alessandra Maestrini), a young woman diagnosed with highly functional autism, a savant, with specific skills in some areas, including music, and her relationship with Leonor Delise (Mirna Rubim), her teacher of singing.
