A Queer Theater Company has announced a strictly limited run of their bare bones, developmental production of Daniel Talbott's new drama GRAY, featuring Chris Bellant (Fairfield), Will Pullen (Scarcity, Punk Rock), and Samantha Soule (Killers and Other Family, And I And Silence). The play will be staged for five bare bones performances only at the Susan Batson Studio--300 West 43rd Street, Room 510--January 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, all at 2 p.m.

Rising Phoenix Repertory and Weathervane Productions have commissioned new plays from three female playwrights, which will each be produced over the next two seasons. Rising Phoenix Repertory's artistic director, Daniel Talbott, will direct all three plays. The first of the commissions onstage is Thieves by Charlotte Miller, making its world premiere at the Monroe Forum Theatre in North Hollywood, California, March 18, 2015 through April 4, 2015, co-produced by Rising Phoenix Repertory, Weathervane Productions and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. The Off-Broadway production of The Long Shrift, written by Robert Boswell and directed by James Franco, opened last night at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. The Long Shirt began previews on July 7th and will run through August 23rd. This play is James Franco's directing debut.
