The Night of 1000 Voices Adds Matinee Performance

On 19 February at the Prince of Wales Theatre, West End and Broadway star Kerry Ellis (Wicked, We Will Rock You, Oliver!) was voted Winner of the Jo Hutchinson International Best Solo Performance at the WhatsonStage Awards (2012). Kerry Ellis will next be appearing at the Royal Albert Hall, in another production produced and directed by Hugh Wooldridge, for the benefit of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, The Night of 1000 Voices, on Bank Holiday Sunday May 6.

The Night of 1000 Voices, the annual, star-studded event celebrating musical theatre at the Royal Albert Hall, is to take place on Spring Bank Holiday Sunday May 6, 2012 and will fundraise for blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Spike TV has ordered 10 episodes of 'Full Bounty,' a reality competition series featuring 12 aspiring bounty hunters who risk life and limb to chase down actual fugitives; six episodes of 'Tattoo Nightmares,' a show chronicling people's often-hilarious horror stories behind their awful tattoos and their attempt to have them fixed; and six episodes of 'Rat Bastards,' a series following the adventures of a group of guys in Louisiana who hunt down a nasty invasive species of giant swamp rats that wreak havoc on the Mississippi wetlands.

Theatrical legend Alan Jay Lerner was commemorated today, Wednesday 14 June, 25 years after his death, with a plaque in St Paul's Church Covent Garden. The plaque was unveiled by his wife, actress Liz Robertson, during a service in celebration of his life and work, attended by friends, family and other theatrical greats including Don Black, Anthony Andrews, Tim Rice, Russ Abbott and Tony Britton.

The new London cast for the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at the Prince of Wales Theatre will start performances on Monday 13 June. The cast will be headed by Sally Ann Triplett as ‘Donna Sheridan', with Joanna Monro as ‘Rosie' and Kim Ismay as ‘Tanya'. William Tapley will play ‘Sam Carmichael', Oliver Senton ‘Harry Bright', Mark Gillis ‘Bill Austin', Dani De Waal ‘Sophie Sheridan', Craig Fletcher ‘Sky', Hannah Fairclough ‘Ali', Rachel Sargent ‘Lisa', Warren Sollars ‘Pepper' and Alex Jessop ‘Eddie'. At certain performances, the role of ‘Donna Sheridan' will be played by Melissa Jacques.

Robin Wagner, Lewis Brown, et al. Win TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards

Three-time Tony Award-winning scenic designer ROBIN WAGNER and esteemed costume designer LEWIS BROWN are among the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award

Located at 264 South County Road, celebrities from the world of show business are planning to be guest mixologists and tend bar for the evening. Some of the them include Seaview Radio Hosts Joe Ranieri & Jo Ann Pflug as well as Dramaworks' producing Artistic Director Bill Hayes. There is no cover charge for this evening.
