Sing Me a Story: Some tales can't be told... will play the Duplex tonight, July 12th at 9:30pm.

FIVE50 Pizza Bar, the first casual concept from James Beard award-winning Chef Shawn McClain, is now open at ARIA Resort & Casino. Following the success of Sage, his first restaurant at the property, Chef McClain's newest Las Vegas outpost is serving up wood-fired pizzas, flavorful small plates, artisanal charcuterie, international cheeses, seasonal salads, handmade pastas and decadent desserts, all complemented by an impressive collection of carefully selected craft beers.

Elephant Run District presents BRECHT IN THE PARK, three rarely-performed short plays by Bertolt Brecht, translated by Eric Bentley: The Elephant Calf (1926), In Search of Justice (1938) and The Exception and the Rule (1929). Performances run Saturdays and Sundays, now through to July 28 at 4 p.m. (no show July 13), near the southeast corner of the Great Hill in Central Park. The new NYC production of Bill W. and Dr. Bob, about the founding of AA, begins tonight, July 8 at the Soho Playhouse. Seth Gordon (Associate Artistic Director, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; Producer/Director Primary Stages, NYC; director of the acclaimed production of Bill W. and Dr. Bob at the Cleveland Play House in 2010) will direct an ensemble of actors who have garnered acclaim on and off Broadway.

The Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) at Shepherd University has announced the five-play repertory for its 23rd season of producing and developing new American theater. The four-week festival, consisting of 94 performances and other programming, will be held July 5 - 28 on the Shepherd University campus in Shepherdstown, WV.

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, in partnership with Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), presents blessing the boats: the remix, a re-imagining of an original play written and performed by Sekou Sundiata, performing today, June 27-29 at 8pm and June 30 at 3pm at TPAC, Theater 2 (199 Chambers Street). NYC Parks is pleased to announce The Land Art Generator Initiative: Freshkills Park, an exhibition of the top 25 designs selected from the 2012 design competition. LAGI 2012 was an ideas competition to design a site-specific public artwork that, in addition to its conceptual beauty, has the ability to harness energy cleanly from nature and convert it into electricity for the utility grid. These visually engaging concepts and systems will be exhibited in the Arsenal Gallery from June 27 through August 30.
