The romantic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret), music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof).

Titled 1600 Penn, the pilot is about 'a dysfunctional family that just happens to live at the most famous address in America.'
