Showtime Renews CITY ON A HILL

CITY ON A HILL is coming back for a second season! The series currently airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. Set in early '90s Boston, where racism is endemic and crime is widespread, the series follows an unlikely alliance between FBI agent Jackie Rohr (Kevin Bacon) and Assistant District Attorney Decourcy Ward (Aldis Hodge).

SHOWTIME released the poster and new trailer for its upcoming one-hour drama series CITY ON A HILL starring Golden Globe® winner and Emmy® nominee Kevin Bacon (The Following) and Screen Actors Guild® Award winner Aldis Hodge (Underground). Premiering on Sunday, June 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, CITY ON A HILL is currently in production on 10 episodes in New York and Boston.
Amazon Acquires Vice Studios' THE REPORT

Following another all-night negotiation at Sundance, Amazon Studios has acquired worldwide rights to VICE Studios' political thriller The Report. Amazon is targeting a fall release later this year during the awards corridor.

Ethan Gold Releases 'The Song of Sway Lake' Album and Limited 7" Vinyl

Composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ethan Gold shares his latest collaboration with independent film director and twin brother Ari Gold, the soundtrack for the jazz-inspired drama, “The Song of Sway Lake.” Title tracks from the album feature vocals from American singer John Grant and English indie folk trio The Staves. Lakeshore Records released the soundtrack on all digital platforms. The album is also available on CD through Gold's label Electrik Gold, who will release a limited 7” vinyl on Record Store Day, Friday, Nov. 23rd.
Adirondack Film Festival Announces Full Slate of Films and Guests

The 3rd Annual Adirondack Film Festival, presented by the Adirondack Theatre Festival has announced its full slate of films and special guests. This year's lineup includes more than 100 films shown in one weekend (October 18-21) across 6 venues in Downtown Glens Falls. To open the festival, AFF will feature RADIUM GIRLS – shot in the Glens Falls and Lake George area, this marks the premiere screening for the area.

Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema announced today its film lineup of 110 films and the news that Regal Entertainment Group has signed on to become the lead sponsor for the 2nd annual 10-day event in Queens. While the festival organizers are saddened to leave the Kew Gardens Cinemas in Kew Gardens, they are very excited for what this means for the future of the film festival. For it's sophomore year, Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema will be moving into its new home at Regal Entertainment Group's UA Midway Stadium 9 in Forest Hills, Queens. From August 3rd to August 11th guests can enjoy films exhibited by state of the art projection and sound equipment in the comfort of Midway's recliner seats. The Opening Night Film at the Midway will be the New York Premiere of Ari Gold's award-winning and critically acclaimed “The Song of Sway Lake” starring Rory Culkin on Friday, Aug. 3rd at 6:30pm. On Sunday, August 12th, the festival's Awards Dinner Gala returns to Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.

Directed by Ari Gold (Adventures of Power), who co-wrote the film with Elizabeth Bull, the film stars Rory Culkin (Signs), Robert Sheehan (Geostorm) and Mary Beth Peil (Tony nominee for Anastasia).
