The New Group presents Eric Bogosian in DRACULA: The Vampire Play in Three Acts, Dramatized by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston adapted from Bram Stoker's classic novel, Dracula. The special reading will take place March 8th, 2009 at The Acorn @ Theatre Row 410 West 42nd Street (between 9th & 10th Avenues) at 7pm.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) concludes its 2008-2009 Mainstage series with Jeffrey Hatcher's new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's gothic thriller Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Performances of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will be given on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road, Webster Groves, March 18-April 12, 2009.
TREASURE ISLAND Docks At Literally Alive Theater 5/10

Literally Alive Theatre's new musical, 'Treasure Island', with music by Michael Sgouros, book and lyrics by Brenda Bell, will open February 11th and run through May 10th at the Players Theatre located at 115 MacDougal Street (between West 3rd and Bleecker) in the West Village.
The production, which is based on the classic novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson in 1883, celebrates courage, adventure, and as the character Dr. Livesey says 'the wisdom of youth'. The story follows the tale of Jim Hawkins, played Peter Pan-style by Meg Lanzarone, as a young lad whose life changes forever the day a mysterious old sea captain stubbles into his parents inn. Jim meets suspicious sea men including Black Dog and the blind man Pew, all of whom are after just one thing - the old captains treasure map!

A Contemporary Theatre announces adjustments and additions to its 45th Anniversary Season. Rounding out the six-play Mainstage season is the corporate comedy Below the Belt (May 22-June 21, previously listed as TBA), starring acclaimed film and television actor Judd Hirsch. The Coming Up Taller Awards recognize and support outstanding community arts and humanities programs that celebrate the creativity of America's young people, and provide them with new learning opportunities and a chance to contribute to their communities. Keith Allen will make his West End stage debut starring as 'Long John Silver' in Ken Ludwig's new stage adaptation of 'TREASURE ISLAND' by Robert Louis Stevenson at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. The play will open on Monday 17 November, following previews from 7 November. Also in the cast are Michael Legge as 'Jim Hawkins', Tony Bell as 'Bones/Captain Smollett', Paul Brennen as 'Ben Gunn/Black Dog', John Lightbody as 'Blind Pew/Trelawney', Dermot Kerrigan as 'Flint/Dr Livesy', James Atherton, Mark Bagnall, Matt Costain, Estella Daniels, Branwell Donaghey, Howard Gossington, James Lailey, Mark Theodore and Sharlene Whyte.
Northlight Theatre Brings New Life to Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

'Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde', which opened September 25th at the Northlight Theatre in suburban Chicago, is a beautifully mounted production and well worth two hours of your time. The two level set by Collete Pollard is minimalist but combined with John Horan's lighting amply support the excellent staging. Add the well placed music and period costumes and you have a beautifully crafted production that captures the mood of the storyline and the era in which the story is set.
Northlight Celebrates Most Successful Season in its History

Northlight Theatre's 33rd Season and Artistic Director BJ Jones' 10th Anniversary Season broke attendance and box office records, surpassed all revenue and fundraising goals and celebrated its first-ever international production with Better Late at the Galway Arts Festival. The theatre is well-poised to kick-off its season in September with its 5-play season and Interplay, its staged reading series of new plays.
