Renowned singer-songwriters Lucy Kaplansky, Richard Shindell and Dar Williams revive their celebrated folk-pop collaboration, Cry Cry Cry, for their first run of performances in nineteen years.
'I had such a great time with those two sessions, I'm wondering if you'd like to do a third. With MISS SAIGON opening in March, I wouldn't mind doing a detailed description about how that show was written. There's a real story there and it's never been told.'
Critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Dar Williams returns to the SOPAC stage THU, DEC 17 at 7:30 p.m. in support of her 2015 album Emerald. Her deeply personal music speaks to her thoughtful and sensitive approach to themes of gender roles, religion, the turbulence of adolescence and more. An outspoken environmentalist, she has performed with luminaries Joan Baez, The Indigo Girls, Richard Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky, John Prine and other artists prominent in modern folk music. Lucy Wainwright Roche will open for Ms. Williams. Tickets are $30-$45 and can be purchased online at www.SOPACnow.org, or by calling the box office at (973) 313-2787.
