Photo Flash: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Goes Behind the Scenes at Stratford Festival

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited Stratford Festival today, and BroadwayWorld is excited to share some behind-the-scenes photos of him with the artists below! Stratford Festival's 2017 season, an exploration of identity as Canada, marks the 150th anniversary of its birth as a nation. The season will span the history of Western drama from the ancient Greek classic Bakkhai to two new Canadian plays specially commissioned by the Festival.

THT's Young Company to Attend THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL

The School For Scandal by restoration playwright Richard Brinsley Sheridan will be presented at THT August 22ndand 23rd at 7pm by THT's Young Company. This is the second Young Company production of the summer following on the heels of Annie. The comedy will be directed by THT's Education Director Lindsay Pontius and Kendra Gratton.

Casting for Announced for LONDON ASSURANCE

City Lit Theatre Artistic Director Terry McCabe has announced the cast for the company's season finale, the British comedy London Assurance. First produced in London in 1841 at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden, and shortly thereafter in New York City, London Assurance is considered a transitional play between the 18th century comedies of Richard Brinsley Sheridan and Oliver Goldsmith and the late 19th Century plays of Oscar Wilde. It has been one of Great Britain's most popular comedies of the standard classical repertoire and in recent decades has been performed by some of Britain's leading actors.

The elegant yet earthy 18th-century comedy of manners features some of the most enduring and eccentric comic characters in British theatre and plays at the Citizens Theatre from 2 to 19 November.

PSMITH, SUNDIAL, FORTY-TWO STORIES and More Set for City Lit's 2016-17 Season

City Lit Theater's 37th season will honor its traditions while bringing Chicago audiences four plays that will be new to nearly all audience members. Red Bull Theater to Continue 12th Season with HAMLET, Starring Arian Moayed & More

Actors' Shakespeare Project closes its record-breaking season with Richard Brinsley Sheridan's clever comedy of manners THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL, directed by Resident Acting Company member Paula Plum with adaptation by RAC member Steven Barkhimer. The show runs tonight, April 13, through May 8, 2016, at Multicultural Arts Center, 41 2nd Street, Cambridge.

KLAD President Kathleen McDonough to Produce New Web Series

?Kathleen McDonough, president of KLAD, the award-winning set and light design firm based in New Jersey, will have a duo role as producer and production designer on the new digital series, The Other F Word. The comedy centers around four girlfriends, who are discovering that the angst of raising kids may be nothing, compared to the angst of starting a new chapter of their lives after the kids are grown.
