Our Winter Season includes all the strands of our multi-award-winning artistic policy with a rediscovery (R. C. Sherriff's The White Carnation, unseen in over 60 years); musical theatre (with the world premiere of a new British musical, Lost Boy, and the professional world premiere of Ivor Novello's very last musical, Valley of Song); and new writing with the debut of three new playwrights (Operation Crucible, Carthage, The Domino Heart). We also introduce a new series - TheGreatWar100 - which will present works commemorating the centenary of the First World War over the next five years.

Sherriff, tonight, November 7th-24th at the Artisan Factory (116 Geary Ave.), as a living memorial to the sacrifice of those fallen during conflict.

ROSS VALLEY PLAYERS have announced their 2013 - 2014 season for their 84th consecutive year. Among the six plays included in the new season are Pulitzer Prize, and Tony nominees and winners, and a West Coast Premiere. The Fells Point Corner Theatre of Baltimore will present R.C. Sherriff's JOURNEY'S END, opening May 7, 2010. Set in the trenches at Saint-Quentin, France, in 1918 towards the end of the First World War, JOURNEY'S END gives a glimpse into the experiences of the officers of a British Army infantry company in World War I. The entire story plays out in the officers' dugout over four days from March 18th to March 21st, 1918. JOURNEY'S END won both the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play and The Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Play.
