STEEL MAGNOLIAS Opens Tomorrow at Little Fish Theatre

Little Fish Theatre today announced the opening of the spirited and heartwarming classic of stage and screen: STEEL MAGNOLIAS. An eclectic group of ladies share their joys and sorrows in this beloved comedic drama by Robert Harling.

Premiere Stages Kicks Off 2013 Season With an Interactive Reading of ONTARIO WAS HERE, 6/21-6/23

Premiere Stages will open its ninth season as the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University with a free staged reading of Darren Canady's powerful new play Ontario Was Here. Selected from over 400 submissions, Ontario Was Here is the first of two scripts scheduled for expanded development as part of the 2013 Premiere Stages Play Festival. The Festival is an annual competition for unproduced scripts by playwrights with ties to the greater metropolitan area (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut), and perfectly embodies the theatre's passionate and longstanding commitment to supporting emerging artists through the development and production of new plays.

Sir David Attenborough Returns to Australia with A LIFE ON EARTH Today

Due to unprecedented demand, Sir David Attenborough is revisiting Australia to again appear live on stage in his not-to-be-missed tour of Sir David Attenborough - A Life on Earth. Arizona Broadway Theatre Brings The Captivating Return of INTO THE WOODS, 5/31-6/23

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces its five-production 2013/2014 mainstage season - 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog, Nerds with book and lyrics by 3-time Emmy nominated Jordan Allen-Dutton and Erik Weiner and music by Hal Goldberg, Tribes by Nina Raine, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang, and A Boy and His Soul written and performed by Colman Domingo.

Theatreworks USA Brings CHARLOTTE'S WEB to the Kelsey Theatre, 4/20

E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig and a spider comes to life when Theatreworks/USA presents "Charlotte's Web" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, April 20 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

THE GIN GAME Runs at Artists Rep, Now thru 4/28

Artists Rep will present The Gin Game by D.L. Coburn, starring Allen Nause and Vana O'Brien, directed by JoAnn Johnson. This two-person, two-act play is a 1978 Pulitzer Prize winner and garnered multiple Tony Award nominations both with its original 1977 production and the Broadway revival in 1997. This play replaces the originally planned production of The Invisible Hand by Ayad Akhtar.

Performance Network Theatre Extends GOOD PEOPLE Through 4/7

Performance Network Theatre is selling out performances to "Good People" by David Lindsay-Abaire and has decided to extend the run an extra week with a 7:30pm performance on April 4, a 3pm and 8pm performance on April 6, and a final performance at 2pm on April 7, 2013. "Good People" - a 2011 Tony Nominee for Best Play - is studded with a cast of good friends and all-star talent.

Wayside Theatre Begins New Year with SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN HOMECOMING, Now thru 3/16

Wayside Theatre Artistic Director, Warner Crocker, announced the cast and schedule for Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming, the sequel to one of last season's most popular productions. Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming was written by Connie Ray, conceived by Alan Bailey, and has musical arrangements by Mike Craver.
