FROM THE FIRE Plays Judson Memorial Church

From the Fire, an original new dramatic oratorio about the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, with music composed by Tony-nominated Elizabeth Swados and conceived and directed by Cecilia Rubino -- and written by Rubino with poet Paula Finn -- will be performed at a special theatrical five-day run to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.

Broadway and Off-Broadway producer Ken Davenport (author of the popular blog, The Producer's Perspective) will present Paul Gordon's Analog and Vinyl as the fifth selection in THE DAVENPORT DEVELOPMENTAL READING SERIES, for readings of new works (plays and/or musicals), on Monday, March 14th at the Davenport Studio (250 West 49th Street, Suite 302, NYC).

Ten Chimneys, offering a revealing look at Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, will be presented in a staged reading starring Dana Ivey (The Importance of Being Earnest), Boyd Gaines (Driving Miss Daisy) and Lisa Banes (Go Back to Where You Are) by The Acting Company on Monday, March 14 at 7pm at the Mainstage Theater of Playwrights Horizons, 416 West 42nd Street. Directed by David Ira Goldstein, artistic director of Arizona Theatre Company, where Ten Chimneys had its recent World Premiere, the play is by Jeffrey Hatcher (Tuesdays with Morrie, Murder by Poe). Reception with the cast, director and writer follow the performance. Tickets are $60 and $35 available at 212-258-3111.

2nd Annual 8Minute Musicals to Play TBG Theatre 3/14

Following a successful launch at the New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF) in 2010, Artists WithOut Limits (AWOL) Theatre Project, Inc. announces the second annual presentation of 8Minute Musicals, a program that challenges emerging musical theatre writers and composers to create 8 original 8-minute musicals in just two weeks. An impressive collection of theatrical talents are strategically placed into teams and given a common theme as inspiration for their work. The freshly-inked pieces are fully staged, briefly rehearsed, then presented to the public on Monday, March 14 at the TBG Theatre.

Victory Gardens announces a one-week extension of Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation, directed by Dexter Bullard. Circle Mirror Transformation February 25 - April 10, 2011 at the Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theatre, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. PICKED Begins Previews 4/6 At The Vineyard Theatre

Mark Blum, Michael Stahl-David, Donna Hanover, Tom Lipinski and Liz Stauber will comprise the cast of Christopher Shinn's play PICKED -- being given its world-premiere production by the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), with previews starting April 6 prior to its official opening night on April 20 -- it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, the Vineyard's artistic director. Michael Wilson will direct.
