On the heels of its Tony Award win for Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder will bring its award home to the Walter Kerr Theatre today, June 18, to allow fans to pose with the prized medallion immediately following that day's matinee performance.

On the heels of its Tony® Award win for Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murderwill bring its award home to the Walter Kerr Theatre on Wednesday, June 18, to allow fans to pose with the prized medallion immediately following that day's matinee performance. In a special, unprecedented ceremony beginning at 4:45 p.m., fans will be invited to hold the 2014 Tony® Award for Best Musical and pose for photos in front of the theater (219 West 48th Street). This event is open to the public, and will end at 6:00 p.m.

A reception at 6:30 precedes the ceremony, which will begin at 7:30. All are welcome to attend the free event, which is fast becoming the theater-networking event in the state.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4 at 10 AM exclusively to American Express Card Members for two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola in Bernard Pomerance's Tony Award-winning play THE ELEPHANT MAN, directed by Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis. A limited number of $40 rush tickets for the much-anticipated ninth annual edition of Broadway Backwards will be released for sale at 6:30 PM Monday, March 24, 2014. The rush tickets will be sold outside the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). They will not be available at the box office. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, cash only and are limited to two tickets per person. The show begins at 8 PM.

At a press conference earlier today, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production just reached the landmark 1,000th death of its leading man. Jefferson Mays, playing eight members of the D'Ysquith clan, is knocked off eight times in each performance, or sixty-four times each week. Mr. Mays has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any lead actor in Broadway history. At the press conference, Mr. Mays' co-star, Bryce Pinkham, presented Mr. Mays with an honorary 'death certificate' on behalf of the entire cast.

Ghostlight Records has announced the release of the original Broadway cast recording of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, the new musical currently running at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The album - produced by Joel Moss and Kurt Deutsch, with Joey Parnes serving as Executive Producer - will be released by digital outlets on February 25 with the disc available in stores and online April 1. The physical CD features a 40-page booklet with complete lyrics, color photos, a synopsis by librettist Robert L. Freedman and an essay by renowned theater writer and critic David Cote.
