Off-Broadway's The Play Company brings together some of NYC's top chefs and theater artists for its sixth annual gala CABARET GOURMET 2009 -- a unique evening hosted by Broadway's Richard Kind (THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE and THE PRODUCERS) and featuring musical entertainment by cabaret legend Karen Akers (NINE and GRAND HOTEL), along with savory and sweet dishes prepared by chefs from several of the city's most celebrated restaurants -- on Monday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse (227 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan.
FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine, and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, continues its 10th Anniversary season with the return engagement of Tony Award winning Broadway legend Barbara Cook from April 14 to May 2 in her new show 'Here's To Life.' In an exclusive three-week run, Ms. Cook will perform selections from the worlds of theater, swing, pop and jazz. Songs include 'What A Wonderful World,' 'Written In The Stars,' 'I Want To Be Happy' and numbers from her newest CD, Rainbow ?Round My Shoulder. The show - featuring Lee Musiker heading an all-star quintet - runs at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).
Concertgoers can expect to see some original numbers, comedy sketches, campy Broadway gems, video shorts, a premiere of Nick Blaemire's 'All About Me' from Episode 11 of THE BATTERY'S DOWN, and most importantly - some improvised musical numbers from audience suggestions!

Legally Blonde's Bailey Hanks has just been cast to appear on two episodes of the hit CBS soap opera, Guiding Light. Hanks will appear as Amy, the Governor's daugher on episodes scheduled to shoot next week and air April 8-9, 2009.

Sony Masterworks announced the upcoming release of the New Broadway Cast Recording of West Side Story. The recording will be available nationwide on June 2, 2009. The official opening of West Side Story, which took place at the Palace Theatre in New York City on Thursday, March 19, 2009, has been greeted with great critical acclaim and sold-out performances. The opening followed a pre-Broadway engagement at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C., where the musical made its original world premiere in 1957. The talented and dynamic West Side Story cast headed to Manhattan's Clinton Studios on Monday April 6th to take part in the historic recording of the classic score.
