The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts announced today its 2012-2013 Broadway Series.

In addition to the Tony Award for Best Musical, Billy Elliot the Musical received the award for Best Direction of a Musical (Stephen Daldry); Best Book of a Musical (Lee Hall); Best Choreography (Peter Darling); Best Orchestrations (Martin Koch); Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Ian MacNeil); Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Rick Fisher); Best Sound Design of a Musical (Paul Arditti); Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik, Kiril Kulish); Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Gregory Jbara).

NETworks Presentations, LLC announced today that Zach Manske made his debut in the national touring cast of the 10-time Tony Award-winning BILLY ELLIOT: the Musical, in the role of 'Billy.' Manske is the ninth 'Billy' to perform in the national tour.

Based on the Oscar nominated film, Billy Elliot the Musical is an inspirational story of one boy's dream to realise his ambitions against the odds. Set in the North East of England against the background of the historic 1984/85 miners' strike, Billy pursues his passion for dance in secret to avoid disapproval of his struggling family.

NETworks Presentations, LLC brings the multi-award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical to the Aronoff Center from January 17 - 29 as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati 11/12 Season.

Following a sensational sell-out season at The Courtyard Theatre, the RSC's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL transfered to London's West End and opened November 24 to tremendous critical acclaim, and according to Whatsonstage, plans will soon be made concerning bringing the new musical to Broadway. RSC artistic director Michael Boyd announced at a press conference last week that the Mailda team will travel to New York at the end of January to discuss future Broadway plans. Additionally the RSC will 'retain "absolute control" over the production.'

The Kennedy Center in association with NETworks Presentations, LLC presents the multi-award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical in the Kennedy Center Opera House from December 13, 2011 to January 15, 2012.
