In honor of its upcoming L.A. premiere engagement of BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL, the Pantages Theatre declared that Thursday 2/2 to be 'Tutu Day.' The very unofficial celebration was marked by several celebrations involving the beautiful, inspirational and versatile tutu. NETworks Presentations, LLC announced today that Zach Manske made his debut in the national touring cast of the 10-time Tony Award-winning BILLY ELLIOT: the Musical, in the role of 'Billy.' Manske is the ninth 'Billy' to perform in the national tour.

Rialto Chatter: Royal Shakespeare Company to Bring MATILDA to Broadway?

Following a sensational sell-out season at The Courtyard Theatre, the RSC's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL transfered to London's West End and opened November 24 to tremendous critical acclaim, and according to Whatsonstage, plans will soon be made concerning bringing the new musical to Broadway. RSC artistic director Michael Boyd announced at a press conference last week that the Mailda team will travel to New York at the end of January to discuss future Broadway plans. Additionally the RSC will 'retain "absolute control" over the production.'

The show's final performance was unique in that the current cast of Billys (and Michaels) alternated scenes in the show.
