The legendary Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg - described by Peter Brook as 'the finest ensemble theatre in Europe' - returns to London this spring for a strictly limited engagement for the first time in over a decade. They will present the UK premi re of Vasily Grossman's epic novel, Life and Fate, and reprise their celebrated production of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket. Press nights will be held for Life and Fate on Tuesday May 8th and Wednesday 9th and on Tuesday May 15th for Uncle Vanya. Both productions will be performed in Russian with English surtitles.

The production will open at the Barbican on 9 April, with previews from 6 April, and runs until 21 April ahead of performances at the Oxford Playhouse from 24 28 April.

Brand new immersive theatre piece It Made Me Consider Me (IMMCM) will be coming to New Diorama Theatre for a limited three week run beginning on 31 January. This ambitious new production sees a group of enigmatic guides take participants on a seemingly bog-standard tour of a seemingly normal building, only for the experience to descend into a series of vivid dreamscapes, consciousness-altering encounters and a voyage into the labyrinthine corridors of human identity and memory, particularly the dark recesses where everything is stored, but nothing is remembered.

In March, The Yard kicks off its spring season with the premiere of a new play written by Yard Artistic Associate Josh Azouz, in a long-awaited return after the critically-acclaimed The Mikvah Project in 2015 (Time Out, The Stage). Buggy Baby follows a baby and two adults in a damp flat in East London. A horror comedy exploring love, trauma and family, it will be directed by the award-winning Ned Bennett, director of An Octoroon (Orange Tree Theatre), Pomona (National Theatre) and Yen (Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester).

Artistic Director of Deafinitely Theatre, Paula Garfield, today announces a new, site-specific production of Mike Bartlett's play Contractions as the company marks its 15th anniversary. A co-production with New Diorama Theatre and staged on a disused trading floor at New Diorama's ND2, it will be Deafinitely Theatre's first site-specific show. Garfield directs Fifi Garfield and Abigail Poulton in the production which opens at New Diorama's ND2 on 8 November, with previews from 1 November, and runs until 29 November.
