A Red Orchid Theatre (AROT) welcomes award-winning actor Kamal Angelo Bolden, director and long-time AROT artistic associate Shade Murray, and lighting designer Mike Durst into its storied Ensemble. Rehearsal's for Entr'Acte Theatrix upcoming production of The Who's Tommy are well underway, but the cast recently took a 'time out' for a quick photo session. All three Tommy's were present, along with The Acid Queen, Captain and Mrs. Walker, Sally Simpson, Cousin Kevin, and Uncle Ernie.

According to an inside source, Stephen Brian Patterson has taken over as 'Captain Walker' in TOMMY at the Stratford Festival. Jeremy Kushnier left the role on August 4. Patterson joins Robert Markus and Paul Nolan in Des McAnuff's new Stratford Festival rock musical, The Who's Tommy, at the Avon Theatre in Ontario through October 19.

Today we are talking a phenomenally talented performer known for his decades treading the boards in a number of featured and lead roles, most recently wowing crowds with his turn as one of the title characters in THE GERSHWINS' PORGY & BESS - the engaging and golden-voiced Norm Lewis. The 2013 Young Hollywood Awards, which celebrates the best emerging young talent in film, music and television, has announced that Teen Cancer America is its official charity. Teen Cancer America assists hospitals nationwide in the development of cancer units designed to give patients ages 13-24 positive physical and emotional outlooks. Cody Simpson, along with Olympic skating gold medalist Tara Lipinski, are two of Teen Cancer America's celebrity ambassadors and are participating in the Awards show, which will air on Thursday, August 1 from 8 - 10 p.m. ET/PT on the CW Network and will emanate from the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA.
