The ABC Television Network and the PEANUTS gang will ring in the new year with the animated PEANUTS special, HAPPY NEW YEAR, CHARLIE BROWN, created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, along with "She's a Good Skate, Charlie Brown," airing with Spanish audio via SAP THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

ABC's airing of the Peanut's classic A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING proved to be a ratings winner for the network, holding up strongly against CBS' Survivor and Fox's The X-Factor last night. The 39-year-old animated special delivered its biggest audience in four years - 8.1 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the adult demo, up 22 percent from last year.

Several seasons ago, Children's Theatre Group of Southern California presented "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown," the first of the two musicals derived from the popular comic strip "Peanuts." Now, we're presenting the follow-up, "Snoopy." Charlie Brown's dog, Snoopy, is featured more prominently here. In addition to Charlie Brown and Snoopy, you'll see characters Linus, Lucy, Sally, Peppermint Patty and Woodstock.
