Tickets to RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will go on sale Monday, December 17 at 10 a.m. at the Broadway Theatre box office (1681 Broadway at 53rd St.) Now in rehearsals, RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will begin preview performances on January 25 with an opening night scheduled for March 3. The production will celebrate the box office opening with a live, in-studio performance by the musical's stars Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana on 'Fox and Friends' on Monday, December 17.

Surflight Theatre, under the leadership of Ken Myers, Executive Director, has announced the theater's 64th Season of 'Broadway at the Beach' - the theater's 2013 season of musicals and plays kicks off April 23 through May with a TBA musical revue, the Tony-winning comedy thriller Sleuth (May 7-19), The Boy Friend (May 24 - June 16), George M! (June 19 - July 7), Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific (July 10 - 28), You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (August 21 - September 8), Our Town (September 25 - October 6), and Irving Berlin's White Christmas (December 3 - 22).

Five-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood will star in the coveted role of Maria von Trapp in NBC's live broadcast of "The Sound of Music," based on the original Broadway musical, it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. The Theatre Program at Columbia University School of the Arts and the Classic Stage Company (CSC) announced an agreement to make all third-year MFA students in Acting at Columbia eligible to join Actors Equity Association (AEA). In addition, two MFA students in Stage Management each year will be eligible to join. This agreement makes The Oscar Hammerstein II Center for Theatre Studies at Columbia the first in New York to offer this invaluable bridge to the field.

This musical is directed by Robert Wells, choreographed by Kelly Kates, and with musical direction by Donna Kolpan Debreceni.
