Starring internet sensation Lucas Cruikshank in his first lead role since the beloved Fred Figglehorn, the half-hour multi-camera series follows the adventures of Marvin, an intergalactic alien teenager who clumsily tries to adapt to his new life on Earth.

The kids were right... again. On Oct. 22, Nickelodeon announced that kids had elected President Barack Obama as the winner of the network's 2012 Kids Pick the President 'Kids' Vote.' Since it began in 1988, kids have now correctly picked the winner (in advance of the national election) six out of the last seven times. More than half a million votes were cast in the network's online poll as part of Nickelodeon's Kids Pick the President initiative to build young citizens' awareness of, and involvement in, the election process. In the 'Kids' Vote,' President Obama received 65% of the vote and former Governor Mitt Romney received 35%. The voting was limited to one vote per electronic device and kids were able to cast their votes online from Oct. 15 to Oct. 22.

The book with the largest first printing of 2012-over 6 million copies- has the most extensive tour of the year. Bestselling author Jeff Kinney will visit seven bookstores a day for seven days in Midwestern markets for the release of his seventh book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel. Beginning on the release day, November 13, and concluding on November 19, Kinney will sign books for 49 booksellers in a mix of large party events and smaller meet-and-greets in the greater market areas of Kansas City, Mo., Minneapolis ,Milwaukee, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Grand Rapids, Mich. The tour leads up to the third appearance of the Greg Heffley giant helium balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York on November 22.

It's A SpongeBob Christmas! was inspired by the classic Rankin/Bass specials (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town) and the popular SpongeBob song released in 2009, 'Don't Be a Jerk (It's Christmas),'co-written by Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob) and Andy Paley.
