The Flea Theater is proud to announce the New York Premiere of Jonathan Caren's THE RECOMMENDATION. This play about friendship, class and where loyalty has its limits will be directed by Flea Resident Director Kel Haney and feature members of The Bats. Previews begin August 23 with opening slated for September 6. Says Producing Director Carol Ostrow, "we are thrilled to open our fall season with a play that speaks to our times and shows off the talents and diversity of our company."

Juilliard's Drama Division announces the 2013-2014 season of fully-staged productions featuring Juilliard's 43rd group of acting students in their fourth and final year in the drama program at Juilliard. This season's plays include Jeffrey Hatcher's Smash, directed by Victor Pappas; Amy Herzog's The Great God Pan, directed by Maria Mileaf; and Sam Shepard's Buried Child, directed by Daniel Fish. All performances take place in the Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater at Juilliard.

David Abeles (Once, Original Cast Member) will take over the role of 'Pierre' in the hit downtown production of NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 beginning tonight, July 9th. Dave Malloy, the show's creator, played his final performance as 'Pierre' on June 21st, as he leaves to work on several new projects including commissions from LCT3, San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, and the Youth Musical Theater Company in Berkeley, as well as upcoming shows at the Incubator Arts Project and The Bushwick Starr.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the Globe's revival of N. Richard Nash's classic romantic comedyThe Rainmaker.
