Strawdog Theatre Company Presents Lauren Yee's IN A WORD This Winter

Strawdog Theatre Company and Artistic Director Hank Boland are proud to announce the third main stage production in its 2015 - 2016 season, Lauren Yee's In A Word, February 5 - March 19, directed by Jess McLeod, at Strawdog Theatre Company, 3829 N. Broadway St. Previews are Friday, Feb. 5 and 12, Saturday, Feb. 6 and 13 at 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 7 and 14 at 4 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. Opening night is Monday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. An industry performance is Monday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. and a fully accessible performance in conjunction with the Access Project at Victory Gardens is Thursday, March 3 at 8 p.m.* Preview tickets are $15, regular run tickets are $28 and on sale now. Tim Realbuto's Dark, New Play Opens Tonight Off-Broadway

After a sold-out run in NYC at the Emerging Artists Theatre and an acclaimed production at the Detroit Fringe Festival earlier this year, popular up-and-coming actor/writer Tim Realbuto's new play YES opens tonight, January 19, for a short run at the Hudson Guild Theater off-Broadway.

Greenhouse Theater Center to Host Solo Celebration

Wendy and William Spatz, owners and operators of the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N. Lincoln Avenue), today announced that the venue will produce a major new performance series showcasing the talents of solo performers as the inaugural season of the theater's new producing division.  Running June 2016 - January 2017, 'Solo Celebration!' will feature more than 50 weeks of programming comprised of one-person, full-length plays, musical and cabaret performances, comedians and special events  on all four of the venue's stages. Submissions are currently being accepted for consideration to be included in the series at greenhousetheater.org.

Feinstein's/54 Below to Present UNCIVIL in Concert, 2/2

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents UNCIVIL In Concert. The original folk rock/Bluegrass-infused musical comedy, previously know as Bayonets of Angst, returns to NYC after an acclaimed sellout run at the 2015 Adirondack Theatre Festival. Brandon Ivie to Direct UW Musical Theater Program's THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

University of Washington alum Brandon Ivie will direct the second annual production of the newly established Musical Theater Program at the University of Washington. The production, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, will unite working professionals like Ivie and musical director Jordyn Meeker with undergraduates enrolled in the program.

COMMEDIA DELL'ARTICHOKE to Play Gene Frankel Theatre in 2016
