Katie Thompson was last seen in Michael John LaChusia's GIANT at The Signature Theater in Washington D.C. where she recieved rave reviews! In New York she has performed in workshops for Duncan Sheik's The Lighthouse Project, Michael John LaChusia's Giant and Scott Alan's Piece, and sang at Broadway's Acoustic Soul and Broadway Loves Country as the only performer not IN a Broadway show.

John Carrafa Leads The Creative Team Of NYMF?s ACADEMY As Director

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is excited to announce that two-time Tony nominee, John Carrafa, will lead the team of Academy as its Director which will be part of the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF)'s Next Link Project. Originally part of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's inaugural Emerging Artist Series in Musical Theater Playwriting, Academy will perform in New York October 6 - 17, 2009 at NYMF.

The Tank Holds Multi-Disciplinary Fundraising Bash 7/17, Announces More Events

In order to raise money for The Tank's sound proofing costs, we're throwing Silent Night a big, multi-disciplinary bash on July 17th at 8:00pm. Featuring acoustic sets from some of The Tank's favorite bands (SHAPES, Sister Helen, and Old Table, to name a few), story telling from the weird and wonderful Fiction Circus, silent but deadly burlesque performances, The Traveling Sound Museum, scathingly quiet comedy from improv darlings City Hall, and more we're showing that we can still raise a ruckus without raising our voices.

TJMTC Performs ANJOU, A TALE OF HORROR 10/8 Thru 10/12

TJMTC accepted the invitation and selected a Mexican play, The Opera Pop: 'Anjou, a tale of horror' (Guillermo Mendez and Lupita Sandoval). Inspired in a page of the French history of the XVI century during the religious wars, it is based on the historic personages and novelizes some of the most sordid events of the history to develop a musical where the politics and the passions interweave themselves for lead to an electrifying work.

Fueled by legend, passion for the transcendent, and the quest for power, Antony and Cleopatra makes its debut at PSF this summer. Based on the electrifying relationship between celebrated Roman warrior Mark Antony and sultry Egyptian queen Cleopatra, Antony and Cleopatra is set amidst the impending rise of the Roman Empire and its quest to control its exotic eastern frontiers.

Rich Affannato in association with Meri Krassner will present a special invitational reading of the new musical, CALIGULA, with book, music & lyrics by Eric Svejcar, for two performances on Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14 at 3 p.m. at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

The COUSINS GRIMM Premieres At Chicago's Bailiwick Repertory Theatre 7/10-8/23

Bailiwick Repertory Theatre's Artistic Director David Zak recently announced that a delightful new musical of GLTB fairy tales, The Cousins Grimm, will be featured in Bailiwick's 2009 Pride Series, playing July 10 to August 23 at Hoover-Leppen Theater at Center on Halsted, 3656 North Halsted, Chicago, Illinois.

Morton Led Private Industry Reading Of CALIGULA Will Feature Six Piece Band

Rich Affannato in association with Meri Krassner will present a special invitational reading of the new musical, CALIGULA, with book, music & lyrics by Eric Svejcar, for two performances next Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14 at 3 p.m. at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Under the direction of Chris Presley, the cast features Euan Morton (Taboo) in the title role, with Autumn Hurlbert (MTV's Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods), Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys, Aida), and Anastasia Barzee (White Christmas, Urinetown). These presentations of CALIGULA will be backed by a six-piece band led by Musical Director David Andrews Rogers.

La Jolla Playhouse Presents HERRINGBONE With BD Wong 8/1-30 In Sheila & Hughes Potiker Theatre

La Jolla Playhouse is pleased to present Herringbone, book by Tom Cone, music by Skip Kennon, lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh, directed by Roger Rees (La Jolla Playhouse's Peter and the Starcatchers), and starring Tony Award-winner BD Wong (M. Butterfly; Law & Order: SVU). Herringbone runs August 1 - 30 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre (press opening: Friday, August 7 at 8:00 pm).
