It's Summer, and at TNC, that means one thing: STREET THEATER! Our Award-Winning Street Theater company is currently preparing to take our new musical, 'GONE FISSION' to the Streets! Starting July 31st, our musical begins its 13-performance tour through all 5 boroughs of New York City, AND ALL PERFORMANCES ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC!

THE OJAI PLAYWRIGHTS CONFERENCE (OPC) is thrilled to announce its 13th Annual program of playwrights, readings and special performances featuring some of the most talented, established and up-and-coming playwrights writing today.

Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants special, 'The Clash of Triton' (Monday, July 5, 8 p.m., ET/PT), raked in 5.2 million total viewers and ranked as the night's top show on broadcast and basic cable TV with kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14. With total viewers, the special's 5.2 million tally (+140% over last year) placed number two in its time period against broadcast TV (only behind ABC's The Bachelorette) and for the night on basic cable (only behind History Channel's Pawn Stars). Guest-starring Victoria Beckham, John O'Hurley and Sebastian Bach, the special posted triple-digit gains over last year across all demos, averaging a 7.7/2.8 million K2-11 (+148%); 9.2/2.0 million K6-11 (+179%); and 7.2/1.5 million T9-14 (+188%).

Holiday on Ice brings a spectacular new show, 'ENERGIA', to the UK in 2011, premiering at the Birmingham LG Arena on 7 & 8 January, followed by Brighton Centre (11-30 January), Peterborough Exec (3-6 February), Cardiff International Arena (8-13 February) and Exeter Westpoint (18-27 February).

This summer, Theater for the New City's Street Theater tour will be 'Gone Fission, or Alternative Power,' an Operatta for the Street. 2010 summer production will tour streets, parks and playgrounds July 31 to September 12.

Beginning previews tonight, May 28 at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival will be a new production of EVITA directed by Gary Griffin. The show will play at the Avon Theatre in Startford, Ontario. Starring in the show will be Chilina Kennedy as Eva Peron and Josh Young as Che Guevara. Juan Chioran will play President Juan Peron, and Vince Staltai will play Magaldi.

A season full of entertainment and cultural enrichment for the entire family will be presented by South Florida's award-winning theatre for young audiences. In its 2010-2011 season, Actors' Playhouse Musical Theatre for Young Audiences presents a unique line-up of shows related to classic children's literary works.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Restoration, written by Claudia Shear, and directed by Christopher Ashley, will begin performances Friday, April 30, at 8pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through Sunday, June 13; single tickets are on sale Friday, April 16.

Running from Thursday, April 8 to Saturday, April 10, the bold play, which won awards when it ran in London and on Broadway, and was adapted into an Oscar-nominated movie in 2004, now makes its home at The ShowRoom for this limited engagement.
