Williamston Theatre Stages THE ART OF MURDER, Now thru 8/23

Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, ends their 2014-2015 Season with The Art of Murder by Joe DiPietro. Performances begin tonight, July 16 and run through Sunday, August 23.

Curious Theatre Company continues Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brother/Sister Plays, a trilogy set deep in the Louisiana Bayou that follows one close-knit community across generations as they come of age through trials of heartache, love and kinship.

LUKA'S ROOM Opens 8/1 at Rogue Machine

An edgy coming-of-age adventure with a bruised heart, Luka's Room is Rogue Machine's second offering this season following Samuel D. Hunter's A Permanent Image (CRITIC'S PICK/LA Times). It tells the story of nineteen-year-old college sophomore Luka Lupatelli's transformation, as only Rob Mersola (Dirty Filthy Love Story -CRITIC'S PICK/ LA Times, Ovation nomination for Best New Play, three LA Weekly Award nominations) could twist it. Rogue Machine received the American Theatre Wing's 2014 National Theatre Company Grant, given only to 12 theatre companies in the country.

Williamston Theatre to Host Staged Reading of ADDITIONAL PARTICULARS, 7/26

The Williamston Theatre will present a staged reading of the comedy Additional Particulars by Ed Simpson on Sunday, July 26 at 7pm. Tickets for the fundraiser are $35 and will be available by calling the Theatre at (517) 655-7469 or going online at www.williamstontheatre.org beginning July 6. Williamston Theatre's Artistic Director Tony Caselli will direct, and tickets include a post-reading wine reception.

The House Theatre of Chicago Hosts GAME NIGHT WITH PETER SAGAL Tonight

Due to popular demand, The House Theatre of Chicago is excited to announce the second Game Night with Peter Sagal, the host of NPR's quiz game show, Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, tonight, June 27 8pm - 11pm at the new Cards Against Humanity Headquarters, at 1917 N. Elston Ave. Event tickets are $50 and include admission, unlimited game play, and plenty of beer. Prize drawing entries are also available for $5 each, with prizes including a tabletop game package and a Wait Wait... prize package. This event is for ages 21+. Space is limited to 100 guests. ArtsWest Launches New 'AFTER HOURS' Summer Cabaret Series, 7/20

ArtsWest is pleased to announce the launch of After Hours with Mathew Wright, its new summer cabaret series. Hosted by Artistic Director Mathew Wright, these one-night only events feature five of the fiercest leading ladies in Seattle theater, Sarah Rose Davis (7/20), Laura Griffith (8/10), Cayman Ilika (8/3), Jessica Skerritt (7/27), and Katherine Strohmaier (8/17). Each will dish on their lives and careers through provocative, freewheeling interviews and sing everything from Broadway standards to pop songs, backed by Mathew Wright on piano.

The Hypocrites are pleased to announce their 2015-16 Season, featuring an unprecedented seven productions for Chicago audiences! The season kicks off this summer with the triumphant return engagement of the critically acclaimed ALL OUR TRAGIC, an unparalleled twelve-hour theatrical adaptation that combines all 32 surviving Greek tragedies into a single epic narrative, adapted and directed by Artistic Director Sean Graney and featuring most of the original cast.

Cutting Ball Extends MOUNT MISERY

Due to popular demand, Cutting Ball Theater announces that it will add an additional two weeks of performances of its current hit production of MOUNT MISERY by Cutting Ball resident playwright Andrew Saito. Cutting Ball Artistic Director Rob Melrose helms this new play, featuring David Sinaiko, Giovanni Adams, Lori Holt, and Geoffrey Nolan. Lea DeLaria Hosts 60th Annual Obie Awards Tonight

The American Theatre Wing and the Village Voice welcome a star-studded line-up of presenters at the 60th Annual OBIE Awards. As previously announced, OBIE Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria ('Orange is the New Black') will host this year's OBIE Awards ceremony, being held tonight, May 18, 2015 at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street).

Taylor Louderman, Rebecca Luker, Mary Testa and More to Celebrate Women Making Musicals at Prospect's 2015 Gala

Prospect Theater Company is pleased to announce additional cast members for its 2015 annual gala, a Concert Evening Celebrating Women Making Musicals. This special one-night-only event will be held at The Times Center today, May 16 with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway and Prospect stars. The evening's program includes a diverse array of songs written or co-written by women, including encores of work from Prospect productions. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Prospect's ongoing mission to develop and produce new musical theater works by emerging artists.

The American Theatre Wing and the Village Voice are thrilled to announce that the star-studded line-up of presenters at the 60th Annual OBIE Awards will include Sting, Jesse Eisenberg, OBIE Award-winner Stockard Channing, Billy Crudup, two-time OBIE Award-winner Tommy Tune, T.R. Knight, three-time OBIE Award-winner Tony Kushner, OBIE Award-winner LaChanze, two-time OBIE Award-winner Lisa Kron, artist Bradley Theodore, OBIE Award-winner William Ivey Long, and Village Voice editor-in-chief Tom Finkel. The evening will include special performances by 2015 Tony Award nominee Michael Cerveris and Natalie Cortez.
