Lyric Theatre is closing its Civic Center summer shows with a fresh and thrilling production of A Chorus Line. Lyric's version of this singular sensation features new costumes, new scenic elements and even new choreography that Lyric audiences will love.

The ultimate 'Singular Sensation,' A Chorus Line, will dance its way onto the Civic Center Music Hall stage this summer. Thousands will audition, 24 get to the stage, but in the end only eight will get the opportunity to do what they've always wanted - to have the chance to dance. This is the story of the ones who make it and the ones who don't. Winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Musical Score and Best Choreography, this show features the Broadway showstoppers such as 'I Hope I Get It,' 'At the Ballet,' 'What I Did for Love' and 'ONE.'

The Broadway packed NURSE JACKIE on Showtime has just been renewed for a fourth season, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Starring Edie Falco in the title role, the show has featured a parade (which we hope never ends) of other Broadway talent and guest stars as well. The Season 3 finale of NURSE JACKIE is set to air next month.

The Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre completes its 21st season with 'Broadway Duets' - a cabaret performance celebrating some of the greatest duets ever written for the Broadway stage. Presenting classic songs by Irving Berlin, Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and many more will be four favorites of the Signature stage - Felicia Curry (Les Misérables), James Gardiner ([title of show]), Jake Odmark (Sunset Boulevard), and Bayla Whitten (Chess). The Laurie Beechman Theatre presented Tony Award-winner Daisy Eagan for her return to the New York stage for one night only in her one-woman show, Still Daisy After All These Years. Eagan, who currently resides in Los Angeles, will presented the show on Monday, March 28th at 9:30pm.

John Scoullar, born in Providence, R.I., July 26,1949 has passed away after a short illness. A composer, lyricist, playwright and performer, John's work has been enjoyed for more than 40 years around the country. With Rick Cummins, he wrote the musical and dramatic adaptations of Antoine St. Exupery's 'The Little Prince' which will open The New Victory Theater's fall season this October 2011. With playwright Joseph Kavanagh he wrote 'Old Fashion Bargain Days' at Playwright's Horizon, 'Canticle' at Hartman Conservatory Theatre, the musical 'The Legend of Finn McCool and 'Hello, Dears' in which he starred in at the Players Theatre.
