City Lit Theater to Stage World Premiere of FORTY-TWO STORIES This Spring

Douglas Post's Forty-Two Stories, a comedy set in a Lake Shore Drive high-rise condominium, will receive its world premiere full production as the third show in City Lit Theatre's 2016-17 season. The press opening will be Sunday, April 23rd at 3 pm following previews from April 14-22nd.

Lady Rizo, Megan Mullally and More Set for 'Spring of Songwriters' at Joe's Pub

This spring, Joe's Pub at The Public welcomes a lineup of singer-songwriters that redefine the traditional conventions of the title. A Joe's Pub favorite, Lady Rizo is a cabaret star with songwriter chops, who will debut a new show, Red, White & Indigo, all about her love-hate relationship with America, and tease her forthcoming album Indigo from March 23-25.

New Energy Adventure to Hit Houston Museum of Natural Science

For more than two decades, millions and millions of visitors of all ages have immersed themselves in the science of energy by exploring the Wiess Energy Hall, one of the museum's most popular exhibitions-which is why it's been completely demolished and thrown out. But wear and tear is only part of the reason. In recent years, the science of energy has become even more highly advanced than it already was, as has the exhibition technology available to effectively tell that story. Because of the museum's commitment to exploring cutting edge science, and enhancing the visitor experience, a greatly expanded version of the Wiess Energy Hall is set to open in November 2017.

HCC's Arts Collective Presents A VALENTINE AFFAIR on 2/10 - 11

Howard Community College's (HCC) Arts Collective (AC) continues its 22nd season with "A Valentine Affair" on February 10 and 11, 2017. AC lights a match to this Valentine's Season with two distinctively different back-to-back shows, "Love is…?" and "Love Synchs!" presented by AC's popular improv troupe, "What Improv Group?!?!" (W.I.G), Humanities Department, and the Howard County Poetry and Literature Society (HoCoPoLitSo). Both shows feature W.I.G.'s ground-breaking, edgy take on improvisation, complete with audience participation.
