Irish Rep Announces Three More Weeks of Friel's THE FREEDOM OF THE CITY, Resuming 1/2 -20

Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce an additional three weeks for its hit revival of Brian Friel's THE FREEDOM OF THE CITY - with performances to resume January 2 on the Irish Repertory's Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage (132 West 22nd Street). Performances are set to run through January 20. Ciaran O'Reilly directs.

Spike TV to Premiere THE JOE SCHMO SHOW, 1/8

Spike has once again turned the tables on the reality show genre with THE JOE SCHMO SHOW. The one-hour, 10-episode series features one real guy who believes he is on a new, over-the-top reality show looking for America's next bounty hunter, but in reality is actually surrounded entirely by actors.

IN FLAMES Tour Comes to the Boulder Theater, 2/10

106.7 KBPI & Z2 Entertainment will present In Flames with Demon Hunter, All Shall Perish & Battlecross to the Boulder Theater on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, December 7th, 2012 at 10:00 am for $26 in advance & $29 day of show.

LAUGHistan Presents World Premiere of BUMBUG THE MUSICAL, Now thru 12/22

LAUGHistan has announced the world premiere production of Samrat Chakrabarti and Sanjiv Jhaveri's BUMBUG The Musical, directed by Mercedes Murphy. BUMBUG The Musical will play a limited engagement at The Clurman Theatre (Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street). Performances begin today, December 5 and continue through Saturday, December 22.

Canadian Stage Presents IGNORANCE by Calgary's Old Trout Puppet Workshop, Now thru Dec 15

Canadian Stage presents Ignorance, an inventive (and completely adult) puppet documentary about the evolution of happiness from Calgary's world-renonwed Old Trout Puppet Workshop. The newest production from the troupe behind the international hit Famous Puppet Death Scenes stops in Toronto as part of a critically acclaimed Canadian tour from tonight, November 27 to Saturday, December 15 at the Berkeley Street Theatre (26 Berkeley St.).

Irish Rep's A CELEBRATION OF HAROLD PINTER and THE FREEDOM OF THE CITY Resume 11/2 & 3

The Irish Repertory Theatre, which has been dark since the blackout following Hurricane Sandy, has announced that performances of A CELEBRATION OF HAROLD PINTER are set to resume as of Friday, November 2 at 8pm in its W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre; and performances of THE FREEDOM OF THE CITY are set to resume as of Saturday, November 3 at 3pm on its Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, at 132 West 22nd Street in Manhattan.

SFA’s Mainstage Series to Feature THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT, 11/13-11/17

The charming tale of a group of eccentrics who attempt to save 1940s Nazi-occupied France from the corruption of corporate executives and big-government politicos will take the stage when Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Theatre present 'The Madwoman of Chaillot,' written by Jean Giraudoux and adapted by Maurice Valency, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Nov. 13 through 17, in W.M Turner Auditorium.

If I were to die very soon, there's no doubt that I would go to heaven, because Rachel York and the all-singing/all-dancing company of Anything Goes took me and a couple of thousand other people up to the heavenly gates with their spectacular opening night performance of "Blow, Gabriel, Blow."
