The Reality of FASHION The Reality of AIDS (http://www.realityontherunway.com) is a New York Fashion Week fundraiser slotted to take place on February 9, 2013 in New York City. The open to the public event is slated to have names such as Deena Cortese of Jersey Shore, Janice Dickinson, Alex McCord, Courtney Robertson, Tiffany 'New York' Pollard, Lil Kim and more walking the runway to raise money for AIDS. RFRA has received considerable praise along with an even amount of backlash. Shocked at many of the mixed messages surrounding the HIV/AIDS awareness event, the creator of RFRA released a statement:

The 2013 Festival PEOPLE EN ESPANOL, an event celebrating Hispanic entertainment, culture and community, will be produced by the legendary, Grammy award-winning, Cuban-American musician and producer, Emilio Estefan in San Antonio, Texas, August 31-September 1, it was announced today by People en Espanol publisher, Monique Manso.

The red carpet event will take place at the Altman Building in New York City located at 135 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10001 with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are required to attend with prices starting at $200 for standing room, $300 for priority seating, $450 for front row with gift bags and $1200 for Red Carpet/VIP access with a portion of all proceeds being donated to benefit the RFRA AIDS charity of choice for 2013. The featured designer for the evening will be Dominique Auxilly , a well-known NYC based designer who has dressed celebrity names such as Nicki Minaj, Coco, and Tamar Braxton .
