AMC today announced that it has greenlit a new anthology drama series called THE TERROR, an adaption of the bestselling novel by Dan Simmons. Scott Free, Emjag Productions and Entertainment 360 are producing the series in association with AMC Studios.

Tonight, the 88th annual Academy Awards will be broadcast on ABC at 8:30 p.m.ET/5:30 p.m.PT live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. THE REVENANT's Leonardo DiCaprio has won the 2016 Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.

Broadway veterans and theater stars abounded in this year's esteemed list of nominations. In film, the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Lead Role included Bryan Cranston for TRUMBO, Michael Fassbender for STEVE JOBS and Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne for THE DANISH GIRL.

Winners of the 22nd ANNUAL SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS were revealed tonight, Saturday, January 30th (beginning at 8PM) on a simulcast airing live on TNT and TBS.
