Chance and Chemistry: A Centennial Celebration of Frank Loesser, a concert to benefit The Actors Fund will take place at a Broadway theatre to be announced on Monday, October 26, 2009.
The event will be co-chaired by Jo Sullivan Loesser and Sir Paul McCartney.

Art Garfunkel, Gerry Vichi, Lauren Kennedy, Alan Campbell, with Elmo and Abby Cadabby (making their Broadway debuts) have joined Chance and Chemistry: A Centennial Celebration of Frank Loesser, a concert to benefit The Actors Fund taking place at the Minskoff Theatre on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 7:30PM.

The producers of the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q, transferring from its 6-year run on Broadway to New World Stages (340 West 50 Street) in New York, with previews set to begin October 9, have announced casting for the Off-Broadway production along with the official opening night, now scheduled for October 21, 2009. A Rush Ticket policy for all performances is also announced.

According to a report in Variety, Goodspeed Musicals will present three classics next year, two of which the theater company will be staging for the first time. They include Irving Berlin's 'Annie Get Your Gun,' Bob Merrill's 'Carnival' and Frank Loesser's Pulitzer Prize-winning 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.'

Variety reports that 'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe will lead the cast of an upcoming New York reading of 1961 musical 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,' marking the first musical turn for the 'Harry Potter' star. Producers Broadway Across America, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will guide the reading, seen as a set up for a potential Broadway revival.
AVENUE Q Headed Back Off-Broadway - Show to Open October 9 at New World Stages!

Some things aren't only for now! Announced from the stage tonight by producer Kevin McCollum was the unprecedented news that AVENUE Q was making theatre history by moving BACK off Broadway and that it will re-open on October 9, 2009 at New World Stages. The show will be presented in its entirety and from the same production, design and producer team as its current Broadway incarnation. An official announcement is expected tomorrow.

Matthew Broderick and Kenneth Lonergan have been friends since high school. They worked together before on the film You Can Count on Me, which Lonergan wrote. A high school trip to the Hayden Planetarium is the inspiration for Lonergan's new play, The Starry Messenger, about to open Off-Broadway at The New Group and starring Broderick. The two talk about their friendship and their first stage collaboration tonight at the 92nd Street Y.
