Shubert Foundation Awards Barrington Stage $70K in Support of 2017 Season

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $70,000 grant from The Shubert Foundation. The Shubert Foundation's 2016 Grants Program awarded a record-breaking total of $26.8 million to 533 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across the United States.

Joshua Jackson-Led CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD, Helmed by Kenny Leon, Opens Tonight at BTG

Berkshire Theatre Group announces the final production of its upcoming 2017 Summer Season will be Mark Medoff's Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Award-winning play, Children of a Lesser God, which began performances on Thursday, June 22 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage. Opening night is set for tonight, June 24 at 8pm.

Second Thought Theatre closes its 2017 season of change with the world premiere of The Necessities by Dallas-based playwright and artist Blake Hackler. Greenwich Librarian Alice McMahon Bonvenuto Stars in BECOMING DR. RUTH

Greenwich librarian and Ridgefield resident, Alice McMahon Bonvenuto, stars in Becoming Dr. Ruth, a play filled with the humor, honesty and life-affirming spirit of Karola Ruth Siegel, the girl who would later become Dr. Ruth Westheimer. Presented by the Square One Theatre in Stratford, Connecticut, the award-winning Bonvenuto is directed by Tom Holehan.
