Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig Talk 'A STEADY RAIN' to USA Today

During a break from rehearsals, A STEADY RAIN stars Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig chatted with USA Today on a break from rehearsals. The pair talk about how they both joined the project, meeting each other previously at Hollywood parties and how they'd like to be remembered.

Producers Frederick Zollo, Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Raymond L. Gaspard, Frank Gero, Cheryl Wiesenfeld, Jeffrey Sine, Michael Rose and Robert Cole announced today that Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman will star together on Broadway in A STEADY RAIN, a critically acclaimed two-character play by Keith Huff. Directed by Tony Award nominee John Crowley, A STEADY RAIN begins previews on Thursday, September 10, 2009 and opens Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) for a strictly limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, December 6, 2009.

Lincoln Center Theater's SATURN RETURNS Begins 10/16

Performances begin Thursday, October 16 for Lincoln Center Theater's production of SATURN RETURNS, a new play by Noah Haidle, directed by Nicholas Martin at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Opening night is Monday, November 10, 2008. The cast of four features Rosie Benton, Robert Eli, John McMartin and James Rebhorn.

Currently in previews, THE NEW CENTURY, plays by Paul Rudnick, directed by Nicholas Martin, opens on Monday, April 14 at 6:45 PM at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, 150 West 65 Street. THE NEW CENTURY is a series of four short plays, which feature everyone from a concerned Long Island mother of at least three gay children (Linda Lavin), to an accomplished Midwestern craftswoman (Jayne Houdyshell), to one of Mr. Rudnick's favorites, Mr. Charles, a flamboyant resident of Palm Beach (Peter Barlett). Ultimately, all of these delicious and distraught people collide under surprising and comic circumstances, and we discover just where our new century might be heading. The cast of five also features Mike Doyle and Christy Pusz. The production has sets by Allen Moyer, costumes by William Ivey Long, lighting by Kenneth Posner and original music and sound design by Mark Bennett. THE NEW CENTURY is performed Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 3pm. Sundance Institute and The Public Theater announced today the launch of the 2007 Sundance Institute Theatre Lab in Residence at the Public Theater in New York. This residency marks the first theatre workshop in New York for the Sundance Institute and will take place November 6-18 at The Public Theater.
