The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today "Chat-backs" during the run of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in the Winspear Opera House, January 11-22, 2017. Like the show, these expert-led conversations will focus on learning differences, adolescence, and family. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time won five Tony Awards® including Best Play and is based on the novel by Mark Haddon.
USC Libraries Name Finalists for 29th-Annual Scripter Award

The USC Libraries have named the finalists for the 29th-annual USC Libraries Scripter Award. Since 1988, Scripter has honored the authors of printed works alongside the screenwriters who adapt their stories. Last year, the USC Libraries inaugurated a new Scripter award, for television adaptation. Television and film finalists compete in separate categories.

Northlight Theatre to Receive $20,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, has been awarded a 2017 Art Works grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The $20,000 grant will support the world premiere production of Faceless, written by Selina Fillinger. Faceless was developed through Northlight's Interplay Program, an initiative that invests in provocative new works by American and international playwrights, providing customized support in the critical stages of early play development.
