Bridge Repertory Theater Announces Its Sixth Season

Fresh off its enormous - and enormously successful - world premiere production of George Brant's Dark Room, Bridge Rep launches into its sixth year overall, and second in residence at the Multicultural Arts Center in East Cambridge. Here's the lineup:

Texas Ballet Theater Presents CLEOPATRA

Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) will present Cleopatra September 28-30 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas with live accompaniment from The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

We are in the Ides of August and the final few openings of the 66th season at the Stratford Festival have begun. Last night, JULIUS CAESAR had its opening night at the Festival Theatre. It has been nine years since this production graced the Stratford stage and this thrilling production is sure to have audiences clamouring to come see it.

Fathom Events, National Theatre Live and BY Experience Present KING LEAR and ANTONY & CLEOPATRA in Movie Theaters This Fall

Tragedy never looked so good. Fathom Events, BY Experience and National Theatre Live announce two of William Shakespeare's famed tragedies for cinema screens this fall.  Captured live from the Duke of York's Theatre in London's West End and exhibited the same day in U.S. cinemas, Ian McKellen's highly-praised performance as the title character in the Chichester Festival Theatre's “King Lear” screens on Thursday, September 27 only at 7pm local time.  On December 6, director Simon Godwin returns to National Theatre Live with his production of “Antony & Cleopatra” from the Olivier Theatre, also at 7pm local time in cinemas.

Ken Ludwig's ROBIN HOOD! Extends Again at The Old Globe

The Old Globe today announced that due to popular demand, the exciting Globe-commissioned world premiere comedy Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood! has now extended again, through September 10! This is the second and final extension for the hit show, which previously announced a one-week addition through September 3. The production plays in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Single tickets start at $45 and are on sale now.
