At the Whats On Stage audience awards, Ghost the Musical's Richard Fleeshman just won 'Best Actor in a Musical' for Ghost. Talking to press after winning, Fleeshman talked about changes to the show that have been made for the currently rehearsing Broadway production, noting that 'We've made it more focused. Some of the illusions have gotten even more incredible and the cast is bigger. It's been very exciting.'

Today, February 8, Lincoln Center filmed the matinee performance of SISTER ACT for their famed archives. The show will now be preserved amongst the Broadway classics at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center Plaza.

Ghost the Musical, beginning previews March 15th with the opening date set for April 23rd, is directed by Tony Award winner Matthew Warchus (God of Carnage, The Norman Conquests, Boeing-Boeing) and choreographed by Ashley Wallen (The X Factor, Kylie Minogue). Ghost The Musical is created by a team of Grammy and Academy Award winners, with a brand-new original score by Dave Stewart (half of the multi-Grammy Award winning Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson's Man In The Mirror, Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill), with a book by Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob's Ladder, The Time Traveler's Wife), who has adapted his Academy Award winning original screenplay for the stage. This brand new score also includes the iconic song 'Unchained Melody,' famously performed in the film by The Righteous Brothers.

Breaking: Raven-Symoné to Take Over for Patina Miller in SISTER ACT?

Deadline.com is reporting that Raven-Symoné, known most for starring on the Disney Channel's THATS SO RAVEN will take over for the Tony and Olivier nominated Patina Miller in Broadway's SISTER ACT. The web site reports that she will begin rehearsals at the end of February, and will debut at the end of March 2012 for a 6 month engagement in the show.

The Nederlander Theatre box office opens for Newsies Monday, January 30th at 10:00am. Tickets will be available for purchase through NewsiesTheMusical.com, by calling Ticketmaster's Disney on Broadway hotline at 866-870-2717, or in person at the Nederlander Theatre box office (208 W. 41st Street). The Nederlander Theatre box office will be open Monday through Saturday 10:00am - 8:00pm through March 11th. The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre Box Office (205 West 46th Street) opens on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 10am for Ghost The Musical. In celebration, each customer who places an order at the box office on Monday will receive a copy of the London original cast album. In addition, the production has exclusively released 50 tickets for the opening night performance on Monday, April 23rd at 6:30pm. The hit Broadway musical SISTER ACT recently partnered with God's Love We Deliver by outfitting runners for their 18th annual Race To Deliver on November 20th in Central Park. The cast of SISTER ACT also sang the national anthem and were involved with the official Warm-Up for the four mile run. God's Love We Deliver is the tri-state area's leading provider of nutritious, individually-tailored meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves.

This winter, from January 2, 2012 through March 4, 2012, SISTER ACT will be performed on the following schedule: Monday at 7pm, Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm.
Beginning March 5, 2012, the performance schedule will be as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, Thursday at 8pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm.

Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello will assume the role of Mother Superior in the Broadway musical SISTER ACT, beginning performances on Saturday, November 19 at 8:00pm. SISTER ACT is currently in its eighth smash month at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). Ms. Carmello takes over from Victoria Clark, who originated the role on Broadway and received a Tony Award nomination for her performance.
