Next month, the Harris Center joins Capital Public Radio in celebrating a historic moment in the history of jazz. The date was January 16, 1938 at Carnegie Hall the hallowed venue for respectable classical music. The Django Reinhardt NY Festival is in full swing at Birdland, it's New York City home. Jean Django Reinhardt was a Belgian-born, Romani French jazz guitarist and composer, regarded as one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth century.

The Nicki Parrott Trio will make their only New Jersey appearance this fall at the Bickford Theatre in Morristown on Monday, October 23, at 7:30 as part of the very popular Jazz Showcase series. Tickets for the concert are available online at www.morrismuseum.org or by phone at 973-971-3706.

The Bickford Theatre has announced their 2017-18 season which includes a blend of jazz, bluegrass, classical, pop and a trio of live theater offerings.
