Peter And Will Anderson Return To 59E59 Theaters For The Holiday Season With THE ANDERSON BROTHERS PLAY BENNY MEETS ARTIE

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to host the premiere of THE ANDERSON BROTHERS PLAY BENNY MEETS ARTIE, devised, written, and performed by Peter and Will Anderson. Produced by Reardon-Anderson Music, LLC, THE ANDERSON BROTHERS PLAY BENNY MEETS ARTIE begins performances on Wednesday, December 26 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 30.

Highlights In Jazz Announces its 47th All-Star Season

In four stellar concerts featuring some of the brightest luminaries in jazz today, 2019's Highlights In Jazz series brings together a multitude of beloved jazz musicians spanning an eclectic mix of generations and styles. You'll hear unforgettable performances from jazz veterans including Warren Vaché, Houston Person, and Norman Simmons; up-and-comers like Veronica Swift, Christian Sands, and Peter and Will Anderson; and straight-ahead stalwarts such as Steve Turre, George Cables, Buster Williams, along with many more. These gifted players and others will pay tribute to a pantheon of jazz legends, including this year's featured honoree, trumpeter Randy Brecker; plus, the music of Randy Weston, Erroll Garner, Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong will also be featured.

Chris Lowden And Paul Lowden Tapped To Produce Newport Beach Jazz Party

Porchlight Hospitality, LLC, headed by Paul Lowden and Chris Lowden will produce the 2019 Newport Beach Jazz Party. Paul Lowden is the Chairman of Archon Corporation, parent of Porchlight Hospitality, LLC, and an accomplished jazz musician himself. Chris Lowden is the founder of Stoney's Rockin' Country, Las Vegas' ACM-nominated Nightclub of the Year.

SONGBOOK SUMMIT Opens Tonight Celebrates Berlin, Kern, Carmichael & More Starting Tonight

Peter and Will Anderson - the identical twins and Juilliard graduates hailed as "virtuosos on clarinet and saxophone" by The New York Times - begin the return engagement of their SONGBOOK SUMMIT concert series at Symphony Space for a four-week residency tonight, August 7, scheduled to run through September 2. The Andersons and their six-piece ensemble shine the spotlight on four iconic composers (one per week) in a celebration of the Great American Songbook. The show features an engaging video presentation, entertaining narration, and live performances from the jazz sextet featuring vocalist Molly Ryan.

A Midsummer Night's Jazz Party Comes to the Bickford Theatre

Dan Levinson's Midsummer Night's Jazz Party returns to the Bickford Theatre as part of Summer JazzFest for one night only on Thursday, August 2 at 7:30 pm. For his annual appearance at the popular festival, Levinson dispenses with music scores and stands for a jam session in the tradition of the legendary jazz clubs of the forties and fifties such as Eddie Condon's and Nick's. Joining the popular clarinetist will be Jon-Erik Kellso on trumpet, Harvey Tibbs on trombone, Mark Shane on piano, Rob Adkins on bass, and Paul Wells on drums. And as customary, the concert will be preceded by a food truck picnic.

Cool Jazz and a Tailgate Picnic Featured At Bickford Summer JazzFest, Plus Antoinette Montague Experience

The Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum presents The Antoinette Montague Experience in concert on Thursday, July 26, as part of the popular Summer JazzFest, which combines food trucks and music for a fun summer evening. Antoinette Montague is an award-winning jazz and blues singer who performs all over the world, but has never forgotten her New Jersey roots. Joining Ms. Montague will be Ken Peplowski on sax and clarinet, “King” Solomon Hicks on guitar, Brandon McCune on piano, Melissa Slocum on bass, Bobby Sanabria on drums, and tap dancer AC Lincoln. The food truck picnic begins at 5:30 p.m. and the concert at 7:30 p.m.

SummerJazzFest Season Announced At The Bickford Theatre

Music and food always seem perfect together so for Bickford Summer JazzFest the theatre will combine great jazz with some of the region's best food trucks on-site before each concert. Different food trucks will be featured so that both ticket holders and the general public can picnic on the beautiful Morris Museum grounds or tailgate in the spacious parking area from 5:30 to 7:30 on festival nights.

Jazz clarinetist Ken Peplowski will pay tribute to jazz legend Benny Goodman at the Bickford Theatre on Thursday, May 3.  He and his Sextet, featuring Chuck Redd on vibes, Rossano Sportiello on piano, Sean Smith on bass, Matt Witek on drums, and Hilary Gardner on vocals, remember the great clarinetist in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the famous Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert of 1938.

PEACE AND LOVE Concert Comes to Philadelphia Museum Of Art's Friday Nights

There's no time more appropriate for a PEACE AND LOVE concert than now, and on April 6, 2018, TJP (formerly known as The Jost Project) is proud to perform in the Great Stair Hall of the Philadelphia Museum of Art as part of their Friday Nights series. TJP will perform two sets of music at 5:45 and 7:15 p.m. As the perfect complement to the Museum's exhibit -- Design in Revolution: A 1960s Odyssey - TJP's music and the exhibit have a similar focus on the 1960s, a time of tumultuous political and social change, when messages of "peace and love" were everywhere. The exhibit is in Perelman Building, located at 2525 Pennsylvania Avenue, across from the museum. The concert is free with museum admission.
