New York Stage and Film (Johanna Pfaelzer, Artistic Director; Mark Linn-Baker, Max Mayer, Leslie Urdang, Producing Directors) and Vassar College (Ed Cheetham, Producing Director) have announced the full line-up of their 2011 Powerhouse Theater season, now entering its 27th year. The result of a unique collaboration between New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, the program consists of an eight-week residency on the Vassar campus (124 Raymond Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY) during which more than 200 professional artists and some 40 apprentices live and work together to create new theater works. The 2011 Main Stage season kicks off with Patricia Wettig's F2M (June 29 - July 10).
'Faking It' - Kitty continues her stay in Ojai, trying to reinvent herself, when she meets a handsomely rugged handyman, Jack. As Kitty fakes her persona to seem like a local, she winds up in a situation that proves that honesty usually is the best policy. Meanwhile, the rest of the Walkers are in on a little surprise birthday celebration for Sarah; what they all don't know is that Sarah has been lying to Luc about her age to appear younger... Yesterday, December 12, New York Stage and Film presented their Annual Winter Gala. Top theatrical talent paid tribute to honorees Laura Linney (Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning actress) and Jordan Roth (President of Jujamcyn Theaters) at The Plaza Hotel including Steven Pasquale, Rebecca Naomi Jones and John Gallagher, Jr., and cast members from Spring Awakening, Hair and American Idiot. ABC has picked up additional episodes of new and returning series for the 2010-11 Season, it was announced today by Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group. New series 'Better With You' and 'No Ordinary Family' receive full season orders, and additional episodes were ordered for 'Detroit 1-8-7' and returning series 'Brothers & Sisters.'
