Musical theatre songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul announced through their website today that they are writing the score to 5th Avenue's revised A CHRISTMAS STORY: THE MUSICAL!, running November 30 through December 19.

Last night, May 23, the Drama Desk Association hosted the 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. The producers of ROCK OF AGES announced today that Tony Award Nominee and 'American Idol' finalist, Constantine Maroulis, will reprise his acclaimed performance as Drew in the First National Tour of the five-time Tony Award nominated smash-hit musical ROCK OF AGES. The tour will launch in September in Chicago with a limited two-week engagement at the Bank of America Theatre September 21 - October 3, 2010. In a show of semi-permanent appreciation, ROCK OF AGES honored of one of its most dedicated fans and winner of its holiday 'Deck the Halls Extreme Rock' contest, Gavin Knox, this month. For the Christmas challenge, the production invited fans to submit a performance video of a holiday carol, sung in the rockin' style of the hit show. The winner was selected by ROCK OF AGES cast members, including Constantine Maroulis, Kerry Butler, and James Carpinello. The prize package included a pair of tickets to the performance, a backstage tour, a curtain call ovation, dinner for two at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, a copy of the original cast recording, and a Temptu tattoo, applied by the show's make-up artist, worn by the cast members on stage each night.
