Madison Opera Opens 50th Season With The Marriage of Figaro 11/5, 11/7

Madison Opera opens its 50th anniversary season with Mozart's classic comedy The Marriage of Figaro on Friday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m. in Overture Hall.

This November, Madison Opera and the Overture Center presents The Marriage of Figaro, Mozart's comedic opera. The story follows Figaro and Susanna, two young lovers who intend to be married, but whose plans were interrupted by Count Almaviva.

In July 2011, Madison Opera also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Opera in the Park, a Madison Summer Tradition.
