Washington National Opera (WNO) continues its 60th anniversary season with the company premiere of Kurt Weill and Maxwell Anderson's LOST IN THE STARS, February 12-20 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater.

All in all, this is a fun show for everyone, especially during this holiday season as we reflect upon those we love.

Freedom's Song: Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War by Frank Wildhorn, Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy with music by Frank Wildhorn, adapted by Richard Hellesen and Mark Ramont, is directed by Jeff Calhoun and runs now through May 20, 2015 at at Ford's Theatre is located at 511 10th Street NW, between E and F streets. The Ford's Theatre Society 2014-2015 season continues with the musical Freedom's Song: Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War, directed by Jeff Calhoun, March 13 through May 20, 2015, at the historic Ford's Theatre (511 Tenth Street NW, Washington, D.C.). A new adaptation of the Broadway musical The Civil War, Freedom's Song features the words of Abraham Lincoln and music inspired by the letters of those who lived through the Civil War. The production is part of Ford's 150: Remembering the Lincoln Assassination, a series of events marking the 150 years since Abraham Lincoln's assassination at Ford's Theatre.

Cleveland Play House has in its recent history included small cast musicals in its offerings. Those shows included TAPPIN' THROUGH LIFE (Maurice Hines), BREATH AND IMAGINATION (Roland Hayes), WOODY SEZ; LIFE AND MUSIC OF WOODY GUTHRIE (Woody Guthrie), THE DEVIL'S MUSIC: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF BESSIE SMITH (Bessie Smith), and ONE NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN (Janis Joplin). Each told a story about the person through their own words, their music, or from the mouths of those who knew them. Often they have been tied to Black History Month.

This dynamic musical revue features musical direction by Darryl G. Ivey (assistant music director for original Broadway production of Five Guys Named Moe) and choreography by Byron Easley (off-Broadway's Langston in Harlem). A jammin' new musical with live accompaniment featuring the timeless music and lyrics of Bob Marley, Bob Marley's Three Little Birds shares the legendary reggae artist's message of peace and love with a new generation of songbirds. Opening the day after what would have been the singer and songwriter's 69th birthday, Bob Marley's Three Little Birds performs at The New Victory Theater on 42nd Street in Times Square from February 7 - 23, 2014.

LYLE THE CROCODILE, based on the children's book series by Bernard Waber, is appearing at the Imagination Stage, in Bethesda, Maryland. Geared for children ages four through twelve, former kids will also appreciate the warm-hearted story and the exuberant dancing.
