LAUGHING LIBERALLY: THE 2012 ELECTION EDITION, a comedy extravaganza, which mixes humor, musical numbers, and political satire will conclude its 2012 on Oct. 15th at The Playroom Theater. Featuring progressive comedians from CNN, Comedy Central, Showtime, MTV, Huffington Post, and C-SPAN, the show plays Monday evenings at 8PM until Oct. 15th.

The 2012 Bistro Awards took place on Monday, April 23 at 6:30pm at Gotham Comedy Club. The singer, actress and comedienne Kaye Ballard, the Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer/songwriter and actress Dee Dee Bridgewater, and the jazz trumpeter and cornetist Warren Vaché will be the special honorees of the 2012 Bistro Awards tonight, April 23 at 6:30pm. LAUGHING LIBERALLY: THIS AIN'T NO TEA PARTY, now enjoying an extended run Off-Broadway at the Midtown Theatre, 163 West 46th Street (just east of Broadway), will celebrate the departure of FOX NEWS's Glenn Beck, with a special edition dedicated to him, this Thursday at 8pm, featuring Beck-themed commentary and a farewell toast as well as an all-star line-up of aggressive progressives delivering a night of Laughter from the Left, including John Fugelsang, Lee Camp, Baratunde Thurston, Katie Halper, Negin Farsad and Jamie Jackson. (Performances continue every Thursday throughout the summer).

As previously announced, internationally renowned singer, recording artist, and humanitarian Dionne Warwick and the legendary musical theatre performer Carol Channing will be honored, along with 16 other members of the New York cabaret and jazz community, at the 26th Annual Bistro Awards, which will take place on Tuesday, April 26 at Gotham Comedy Club, located at 208 West 23rd Street (between 7th & 8th avenues).

FringeNYC will celebrate its 15th Anniversary with 15 hit shows over 15 weeks from May 5 - August 11 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
